Vedel & Millfield: "The Christmas Letter"

The Christmas Letter is written and composed in a soul and motown universe by singer Frederikke Vedel and Michael Millfield. The song emerged out of a groovy jam when the two met in Millfield Productions' studio to talk about the style of Frederikke's debut album. The style is inspired by American artists such as Alicia Keys, Prince and Babyface.

Frederikke Vedel is a singer, actress and lyricist. She participated in MGP in 2013 with the song "Jeg har hele tiden vidst det" and now frequently works as a musical performer. Among other things at Det Ny Teater, where she made her debut in 2014 in the lead role Belle in "Beauty and the Beast".
Frederikke has also been a soloist on Plænen in Tivoli with both the Tivoli Late Night Orchestra and the Tivoli Salon Orchestra.

Through his work as a trumpeter, Michael Millfield's heart has always belonged to groovy American soul music. This has led to participation on more than 200 CD-recordings, including Larry Graham's (the inventor of slap bass and former member of Sly & The Family Stone), tours with The Temptations, The Four Tops and the DR Big Band, as well as appearances with Tower of Power and Prince's New Power Generation.
